West end pearch

has anyone fished for pearch near the intake or lighthouse lately? How's the bite at this end? Thanks for any info.

It has been hit or miss. 1 trip we get over 100 perch and the next trip it is tough to get 40. The fish are there, they just are not biting all of the time. My last 4 trips during the last 10 days of August we have kept 121, 106, 25 & 71. The perch we are catching are nice size averaging 8" - 10" with the largest just under 12".

I agree with Zeiler. We have been out 4 times in the last 3 weeks and it’s been the same. Fished south of intake straight out of meinkes marina and fished maybe a mile north. 4 of us caught a limit one day than 48 35 and 60. Guess it just depends on the day. We will be out Friday I’ll have a report for u. Goodluck

how deep are you guys fishing? I'm on west side of catawba, so you won't see me but I'm thinking the same depth should work in front of port clinton.

also, how is the algae now. Its starting to show near me last couple weekends.

As shallow as 18' Deepest has been 24'. We have caught perch as high as 3' off the bottom.
