Ottawa County Ramps

The public ramps are state run,so the state would have to decide to shut them down.Ottawa county or the sheriff cannot shut them down.Seams the county has asked the state to shut them down but the governor has said still ok to fish.Sure the state and ODNR will be monitoring the social distancing at ramps and on boats and procede accordingly.

They can give you a fine now for not staying at home order. Only can go to work,store or pharmacy. I guess a lot of people just don't care about others. Oh I forgot, this is the lake. Rules don't count.

It is our right. Why can't they find what cause the virus. It is obviously man made. It is not considered to be of a living matter. Catch those people and hang them by their balls.

Do a google search. There was a guy on another fishing site that posted a copy of his ticket. The ticket said..... Violated Covid 19 order. I think the violation was regarding the 6’ rule.

That was in MI, and was given because all three in the boat were from different addresses...not the same household.

I went up to shelter in place at our place on Catawba last weekend. One of the guys in the complex is a charter captain. He went out (by himself) and said there were about a hundred boats out there. But I also heard that the ODNR or sheriff closed both the ramps at the State Park and in West Harbor because they were to crowded and people were not following the social distancing guidelines. So from what I know the ramps remain open as long as people are following the guidelines. If that doesn't happen, they get shut down. Makes sense to me.....
