    Default Trolling motor issue

    Has anybody had any problem with their minn-kota shaft sliding up and slamming back down when heading into a wave. I see no lock down on the unit. The pressure from the water seems to be pushing the motor upward when the bow comes off the wave. This happened with 2-3' waves.

    I had same problem. Mine is a 2017 terrova w/ lift assist. Took mine to a dealer in Norwalk and was fixed under warranty. Fished last week trolling into waves no more issues.

    Any idea what they did or how they fixed your motor? Mine does the same thing and is a 2017 more as well
