North Passage Walleye
For the last two years, it seemed like the post spawn walleye migrated east using either the North or South Passage. It was my experience and others that the larger fish used the North Passage while the South Passage had mostly smaller fish. I have fished the North Passage twice during May this year and found no fish anywhere east of Gull Island Shoal. The most productive area in the North passage for me had been north of Kellys Island Shoal but the screen was blank and no boats to be seen anywhere. There has been no mention of any fishing success in the North Passage in any prior posts this year. Does anyone have any ideas as to why there are no fish in the North Passage this year?
