Years ago when the underwater video cameras first came out we took one to Lake Ontario.
We fished out of Olcott and in the spring the fish finder would light up in the creek heading out the break walls. You kind of wondered if the fish finder was “lying”...
We stopped and let the camera down in the water and every species of fish you ever thought of was down there.... it was amazing...

Sighting
Many years ago when my parents lived in Forsyth MO we fished Lake Taneycomo hard for rainbow trout and one day we spotted a strange looking fish in the shallows. After much research we established it to be a burbot. First one and only one seen by me. We made no attempt to hook it.

I've seen a lot of them in the river at Olcott. The Michigan boys say they are tasty. I'd like to try one.
