    With our 30 foot Sportcrafts we have 4-6 feet of chain on the anchor and I rarely have hook issues unless is very rocky and rough. In mud with 3-4 feet wave it digs right in. Some people dont use the right type of line and its important to get line that stretches plenty for the shock of the pull from wind and wave.
