lithium batteries

Just need some thoughts on lithium batteries. I need to start looking for trolling batteries for my boat. I am currently using Interstate AGM 100ah. I am on my 7th year and they are showing signs of needing replaced. Having a hard time deciding what type of battery because these have done a great job. Just wondering if it would be a wise choice to switch to lithium. Then not sure what to buy because there are hundreds of choices. I have looked at the LiTime and the power queen. The good lithium has a 10 year warranty but they may last another 1 month or another 10 years who really knows? They are much lighter and, in some cases, smaller than lead/acid batteries. but if you never run out of power and they lasted 7 years you might think about getting the same batteries and saving yourself some money, but the next set may not last for that long.

1 nice thing about Lithium batteries they provide full power as they are discharged whereas a lead/acid batter slowly loses power as they discharge. Lithium batteries put out the same level of power at 60% as they do at 98%, so you never notice any less power all the way down. Plus they discharge much slower than lead/acid batteries giving you much more time on the water fishing.

Anything under 50% discharge with lead/acid batteries will start damaging them where a Lithium can be discharged down to something like 4% before and damage starts.

As the price on lithium's has dropped so much if I was buying new batteries for a trolling motor, I would defiantly buy Lithium batteries.

This is going mostly from all I've read and reading the reviews, so this is just my opinion for what it's worth.

I switched to lithium batteries last season and have been extremely pleased. I went with TimeUSB batteries. Direct from the supplier, matched any prices I could find, very helpful during and after the sale. Walked me thru the setup over the phone. Great warranty, but be sure you have the correct charger. Mine recharges much faster than my LA batteries and lasts longer than my old group 31 twin batteries ever did. Not sure what your powering but to replace my old KA batteries the cost was 260 bucks for the pair, the new 140ah TimeUSB was the same price but last about twice as long. Old batteries were about 110 # where the new battery is 28#...big difference...highly recommended !!
