Can anyone tell me why leadcore wood snap when a fish tugs three time when I looked at thend of the line it was bent like j would a planer board release cause this to happen

it would most certainly cause it to break never put a release on the lead core it self only on the mono backer.

I would put nothing on the lead at all it chaffes it and it will break sooner or later.
