Always floro over mono due to the light refracting qualities with the added benefit of more sensitivity then mone. Seaguar AbrazX should be the most abrasion resistant from all reports I have heard. As for test, I think someone else needs to help you there, while I would guess 20 or more likely 30lb, I fish non-commercially so I often just tie onto 10 or 12lb floro already on my reel...
