Can you maybe give some basic tips/info on where the best places to lauch are to troll for walleye. I have 18ft boat and like to stay within a few miles of shore. Any suggestions for newbies? Thanks

the small boat harbor on furmann blv. opens the 15th,down the road about a mile is a small mom and pop marina called bogards that is already open and is usually a little cheaper

Launch fee at Sturgeon Point is $7
Fish are close to shore this time of year.
I got 10 walleye, June 14th right in front of the harbor entrance, less than a mile from shore. 2 were over 9 lbs and 1 finished 103 rd in Southtowns tournament. It was worth $50. It hit on gold chrome Bomber Long A deep diver at 2.2 miles per hour trolling against the waves.
