Glad to hear everyone is having a good time out there. Glad to hear that the fishing sucks. I had a rehearsal and rehearsal dinner Friday. A wedding and reception Sat. and guess what today is a after the wedding party. Hay will you guy please leave me some fish. :p
man i hope the fish have something to eat other than spinners& lures cause they sure are hungry
Blue Pike caught in Upper Niagara 7/11/13.
Yeah fishing is pretty bad... like everyone else "dropped" a two man limit in 3hrs...biggest 30". Top five weight 39#. Little unorthodox spread (didn't have everything on my boat)...50/50, 3oz, custom husky jerks (purple/pink), 1.5-1.6 mph, 50-fow
Joe, I threw back two for you, one under size and one that would have put me over limit. Everything caught today on two dipsy rods, one with a spoon and one with a stick bait, soaked in (fishkillers/kishels) fish scent. Back to the barn by 10 am again. Catching so many fish using that fish scent i'm throwing some in the bath water now. :D

No - Not the best man. Just the father of the groom. $$$$
I didn't lose a son - I gained a great daughter. :D She's a good person that I respect. But she gets sea sick fast. A few years ago she hugged the bucket three times by the time we went out and came back. It was only a short time we were out.
Congrats, Capt. Joe! You got off easy, try being the brides dad X2, big $$$! I am just starting to find out how much it cost me after 12 yrs! They are just starting to open up about it! Brats! ;)
So all this talk about the fishing today has given me a fever and I will have
to call in to work and go get some medicine :p. Being a newbie to walleye I have 2 5 cores, dipsys snap weights and a couple torpedeo divers to work with along with some harnesses and stick baits. Will this get the job done?
What would be the best speed range to try ?
Thanks

Our top 5 weight was around 44lbs Saturday. Crazy day for forgetting half my stuff in the truck. Lol. You should have out money In the net! At least your wife would have been happy. Lmao. Good luck Jim. We're rootin for you guys
Fished out of and launched at Dunkirk on Sunday. Great day on the lake. All that relaxation on a calm Lake Erie went to naught and the blood pressure began to boil when I arrived back at the launch to find that an inconsiderate boat launcher with a black Ford truck and double axle Yaht Twin trailer did not bother to keep his trailer straight in the parking area and had me boxed in with my smaller trailer. Had to take my trailer off the truck and hand wheel it out to get out of the parking spot. No matter what launch you are at, take the time to see if the way you park your trailer interferes with others next to you - it's only Common Courtesy.
Once again Lake Erie was good to me, fished east of SP in 53' using 6 & 7 color with a spoon on one and stick on the other, also two rods with dipsy's, same set, spoon on one and stick on the other. Hooked 15 Boxed 12, back to the barn by 10:30, would have been 9:30, if the last fish didn't take so long to catch. That's four days in a row and time for a break LOL.
Sorry Mr Weekley's but I haven't drown a worm in two days.
Using Kishels fish scent on the spoons and sticks ;)
STWA meeting this Thursday
when the fish are hitting like this you can put a P&J sandwich down there and catch 'em ;)
Bad solenoid and a wire with dirty ends changed and cleaned seems good to go again now i just need to figure out what kind of jelly or jam and preferred flavor the Walleye want and good to go.
What the hell time are you guys starting in the am. I just get on the water by 8 am! & you guys go home at 9:30. Seems to take the fun out of it. Enjoy the days & time on the water. jmo
I try to be launched by 630 at latest some days a little later i leave the swamp around 5 stop for ice and pic up crew at thruway then motor to launch site .
I try to be at the launch by 7-730. But usually end up on the water by 8. It gets hot out there quick. I like to get off the lake early if I can but I fish til limit or until they just won't bite anymore. But playing search and rescue takes up the rest of the day. Lmao.
I am fairly new to walleye fishing, I always launch out of sturgeon point and I was wondering if you guys could help me out a bit. I can only catch fish on worm harnesses, guys talk about ranowskis and reef runners and even spoons but I can never catch fish on these, I was wondering if you guys use these and what color, size, how you run them, any information is much appreciated, I would just like to diversify my spread from just worm harnesses, thanks in advance for any info.
Fishing by 8am this moring hooked 18, landed 15, kept 13, smaller ones done at noon. It was a hot one couldn't take the heat.
we left the marina by 7 a.m. this morning, lines in at 745, done at 1 p.m., we went 27 for 35 we had a nice mix of eaters and some big fish. We will be back at it by 6 a.m. tomorrow, this fishing is beginning to wear me out....lol. we have boxed 77 walleyes in the last 4 days of fishing. :D
Joe he's got me beat by a long shot but i dont have the liberty of fishing everyday for trips out to to catch ratio my numbers are ok but no skunks yet and at 61 for yr. Wish i had a wk off to really stack them up with these temps i may take a it's to hot to work day though.
For those who are following, And those who don't care, sorry! We went down to defeat yesterday. We had a 8-1 lead and I had to bat. We were short, the younger kid had to go on a honeymoon. :p And others didn't show up. I was batting in the 5th when I hit a ground ball to third. When getting out of the box it felt like I got hit in the back of he calf with a bat. It stopped me in my tracks. I went out the next inning but couldn't perform at a level that I'm use to. I was out of the game. We were up, then down, then up, then tied. Lost it in the 9 th. It feels like when I'm reading these posts. Everyone are having a good time catching fish and I'm working.
Good luck to everyone! I hope to get out this weekend. A lot of ice and meds will work wonders.
put back 20 last nite / can it get any better :):)
