Lineman, these are the new bottles of k100. Still the same stuff just a new label and it says it treats 16 gallons but it still treats 20 gallons.

Hope this front doesn't mess up the fishing, but wow what a relief after this wk. The temp went from 90 to 75 in 15 minutes along with a good blow from the west.
It's still 81 here
68 here now just went outside a second rain took my breath aeay lol
It seems like you guys have been catching a lot of fish on the Eastern end of the lake. I hope the storm has not chased them out of here. I missed out because of work. :(
Anyway, I am in the Erie Basin Marina and plan on trolling the line from the departure bouy and SP. As Fishkiller notes, worm harnesses are probably best but I have some new toys I want to play with. I will be using some of my fresh bottle of Kishels on a lure or two and also want to try out a spinner rig in front of the lure (https://team-outdoors.com/shop/produ...&sort_species=). It looked interesting on YouTube.
Once the fish move outta here I guess I will have to run to SP and then troll. What do you guys think?
Cheers,
Billwaz

Erie Basin Marina
Start passed the departure buoy in 47 fow. I would run a couple harnesses, spooked fish will be more apt to take fresh live bait. Especially right after a front. Depending on how many rods you are fishing with I would spread out between 30ft to 5 ft off bottom. Hopefully the wind didnt churn the lake up and scatter the bait. Put kishels on the harnesses too. I put it on the beads. Bailey likes to drown his worms with his. Lol. Start at a slow troll 1.5-1.9. If no fish pick it up from there. We were catching fish all the way up to 2.9. But it was a hot bite.
So heading to cassadaga lakes for the weekend. I forgot the kishels. I made my girlfriend turn around and go back to the house to get it. She wAsnt to happy when I finally told her that we turned around for some fish scent. Lol
Thanks for the info!
Copo teach her that there are priorities that just be followed. Don't leave home without it. It goes along with food, beer, wine, boat, gas & KISHELS :D
Be headed out of sbh around 6 or so in morning hope all is the same.
Hope ya told her you can get off the bus, there is always another one in rt kinda like rapid transit lol.
Haven't been out in 3 weeks, goin' out tomorrow AM. Going to launch outta SP at 6, hopefully the lake isn't to stirred up and the fishing will remain good. I will post a report tomorrow at some point.
Tony
Figure I'd list these here first before listing elsewhere...
I have a total of four segmented 27# leadcore sets loaded onto lightly used Shimano Charter Special 2000 reels... $90 each, local pickup
one each: 2 and 3 colors w/mono backing and 4 and 5 colors w/ fireline backing; all with 50 ft 12# flouro leader
Well managed 2 today before the next gremlin showed itself with the boat things should be about all right now a few problems to be expected with anything that sat in storage for 8 yrs there abouts. It wound up being a fuel issue with easy fix but to get back to SBH oran kicker but didn't have enough fuel so got in front of WHITE CITY and he did a fuel tsnk pass over to me. I got all the way in to south gap when i emptied that tank also. So took a chance and big motor refired and into the retrieval docks i went. Sure next wk will be better all the little troubles should be about gone. Tune in next wk to hear about next new boat troubled lol. Hopefully not but gotta have a sense of humor with these things
Picked up 7 today. We were between Pt. Albino and condos out on the line. Everything came off the port side. Not much size to them just nice fish. It seemed when the sun came out the fish went to sleep. Dark colored spinners with sparkles worked well.
Fished south of the pack, managed to get 4 eyes today, marked a lot but they were tight lipped. Fish came off bottom. Big thanks to bailey.
We got out right at noon yesterday and headed twards the condos, we picked up nothing for the first hour trolling about 2.5MPH on the main motor, switched to the kicker(1.5-1.8MPH) and my nephew caught his first walleye ever a 27"er(Black and Purple willow leaf on 5 colors of lead)! We then went fishless for about another hour. Around 3:30pm the bite turned back on and we landed 5 more wally's a few sheep head and two silver bass. All fish came on black and puple harnesses and watermellon harnesses on lead, nothing touched our dipsy harnesses or reef runners.
Yeah I got off the lake around 3:30. That's why the bite turned back on.
Got me a bottle of this scent . Can't wait to get out and try it. Will be prefishing for the con club tourney coming up . Anyone else from this site in that tourney?
Glowgetter where did you get the Fish Scent from?
Do any of you guys ever catch fish on Colorado blades, I use almost all willow blades, but usually run a couple Colorado blades, but I never catch fish on them.
I run Colorado blades almost exclusively but deep cupped i believe color is most important, well equal to vibration. Walleye can see colors they are one if the few fish that do. To help pick blade colors research ehat colors disappear at which depths. I know red is first to loose its visibility.
Appears the fish are still east, along with all the boaters that have no idea what they are doing. Did well yesterday morning, outside of the pack. Everything on sticks near the bottom. Dipsys, downriggers and jets with lead. Sometimes I wouldn't mind catching a few less fish if it meant not having to worry about which way the guy next to me was going to turn next. Regardless, the fish are still there, lots of 17"ers yesterday in the east wind.
Lol it's amazing the amount of idiots out there that just go wherever they want. Trolling across when most are up and down. Then they give no headway what so ever and expect you to come to a full stop and wait for them to cut across. And these people drive on the road too. Scary. I think alot of boaters need to read the rules of the waterways. You should have seen the idiots at cassadaga lakes this weekend. I just about pumbled some moron at the launch dock. He was purpously trying to flip the kids over on the raft and paddle boat off the end of our dock. He was literally coming 3 ft away from them in the water spinning around. Took everything I had not to send him to the hospital when I met him at the public boat launch next to our cabin. But I'm betting he messed his pants lol
Good news the eyes still holding in east end. I have so many friends and family members bugging me to take them eye fishing I'm gonna have to start righting names in the calendar. Ill have to start charging gas and launch fees. Haha.
Copo 427 can i fish with you take me pick me lol
I don't know why he'd be scared of you just because your 6.6 lol did ya go chest to nose with him lol. It's gonna be a successful run again this weekend finally i can feel it. Sure there can't be many more bugs left to work out. Pnly one way find out and that's to fish her. Smart a$$ ha ha
Maybe if people didn't post the crazy numbers their putting up many of the non local morons would stay home. The traffic Sunday was ridiculous. People come from all over creation when they see reports of 20 + fish days. I have no problem with people sharing info and saying they did well but find it unnecessary to post the crazy numbers that they're pulling. Just my 2 cents.
Guess I'm gonna have to come up that way to fish to. Everybody else is. OR just stay in western end where its still on fire
Most of us that are doing well are privately talking amunst ourselves. Yes we've posted some numbers and general locations but its no real secret. It's in the paper, on dec's sight. As well as word of mouth. I know people that have never been on this sight or heard about it telling me about eyes in Lake Erie right now. Again if people knew the rules of the waterways it would make life alot easier.
So to all people that didnt know their were boating rules of water. There are. And they are enforcible. Just like on the road. I would suggest that if your not familiar with them, to look them up. Particularly the boating right of way as well as reckless driving, being on plane to close to a boat that's not, ect ect. Lets try and be curtious and safe on the water.
Overthelimit that's not directed at you at all. I was out 2 weeks ago and was bitching about the morons too. First timers buy a boat and think its a free for all on the water. Drives me nuts. I had guys not giving an inch to me when I even showed I was giving room, they just took more. Only to have there board pass a few feet from my boat. Had a guy cut me off from my port side to the point I had to put it in nuetral or I'd of hit him and run his spread over. ( which I considered doing)
I had to cut it to neutral once to. I'm on a west troll. Boat coming towards me on an east troll port side. Some ding dong tries to shoot right between us. They were bringing a fish in but with four guys in the boat somebody needs to pay attention to where they're going. I'm usually by myself and always have my head on a swivel
I have a small network that keeps in touch on the fishing. I see where your coming from but still despise the Internet sometimes as far as disseminating information.
There always seems to be a few A- holes that when everyone else is going N&S they want to go E&W or visa versa across eveyone else. I don't get it! The other bad ones are the guys watching their rods on the rear of the boat or rigging & Not watching/steering where they are going & almost T-bone someone. Saw it almost happen twice the other day. Its really not that hard. The guy on the right has the rite of way, give everyone plenty of room, plan your out before you get in the mess, & put flags on your boards so they can be seen. If you are doing it right you should be looking at the bow or the stern of the boats in front of you NOT the sides. Plus a little common sense & courtsey will go a long way & help all of us. Get inline & go with the flow. Stay away & outside of the crowds. jmo.
Theres more than one site for info LOU, MFF and DEC for starters I will always give info as for crowds it happens. We will not even dent the fish population look up the harvest quota for lake we won't even touch it lake wide. If anything we improve conditions by harvest. Yeah the fishing is tite lots of boats you have to pre plan every move you make. A couple weeks ago i had a cross troll that was hot found it inadvertently because of long turn and getting pinched out of it. I ran it all day after that just timed it. Word of mouth is the biggest draw my phone goes nuts every night and the days on water i wanna toss it but i'll help anyone out give pointers or even have them come to my location. Theres plenty for all enjoy a banner yr. How could i get mad because someone is out doing what they and i live for. The reason for this site is sharing not bragging. Although this ek with many friends in the SHOOTOUT i'll be a little quiet for them. They spend big money to make money and good luck to all who are in SHOOTOUT.
Bailey, the real **** show is lake o for the salmon run. Lmao. This stuff is a kids show compared to that.
True for all who haven't got in the line to combat fish the creek mouths on lake may i recommend a trip to try it mid to late sept it's very comparable. Only hotter tempers thrown in the mix. Along with some big fish.
I'm new, but you need to have respect for people fishing.
It's similar to hunting, if you see orange, walk around, not thru.
That really drives me nuts, that's why I love archery, not a soul in the woods.
Its just proper respect for the sportsman.
