Heading to Fairport tomorrow to try my luck at some early season steelhead. I was up there last week and watched a guy catch 2 from the breakwall near the lighthouse. Looked like he was throwing little cleo's. I will be running a float set-up with a pencil bobber, wolly bugger jig, and minnow...and throwing spoons. Would be nice to get a couple in the cooler.

Anyone else hearing anything good for the steelhead action? I know we are a few weeks away from the fall run into the streams, but it's fun trying to get them on the line before the snow comes.
