I have mine facing forward...

I've been using Church boards from the beginning and they work great with the release method that Capt. Juls is describing. Nothing needs to be done...

Should the loop go forward or backward? I put mine on forward but my son goes backward. Both seem to work.

I don't know. Maybe someone that runs Church boards can answer this question for you.

Hey Jules, We have all Church Walleye boards. Is there a way to set them up to release the way you described without buying all new offshore clips?
