    Default Crib Reef

I feel that all those who are going it on their own and are new to the lake this spring should be warned about Crib Reef! It can bite a chunk out of your lower unit if you venture to close to the shallow spot, so be careful if in the vicinity of that reef. Better yet wait until the water warms some before you venture into that Crib Reef area that way if you would miss calculate and find it the hard way at least it is warm out.

I guess that I had better add that the Buoy that they place for marking the reef is several hundred feet to the East or SE of the Reef. The buoy tender that places the marker buoys requires to much water to get any closer. I don't know if it is even in yet! Please be careful.

Is this the Buoy you were talking about?

Isn't this the reef that is believed the 4 people that drown several years ago in the spring hit?

This is the area that their boat was found but it was reported that it had suffered no damage.
