All of my walleye fishing is done out of a friends big boat although I do have a 17.5 footer that I generally bring up once or twice a year, but I mainly bass and perch fish out of it because it is not set up to troll walleye with. I pay close attention to what is going on and the first sign of trouble I head for the dock. I also don't venture to far either, mainly the island area.
If you and your boat can handle four footers and you feel comfortable and safe then there is a lot of fishable days for you on the lake.
