I'm another one that would recommend the flags. You might not notice if a board is running a few feet farther back, but it's not difficult to notice that the flag that is usually running at 90 degrees is now laying back at 80 degrees.
Also, I would recommend the Church Tackle Walleye boards over the Offshore boards. The Offshore boards offer nothing that the Church doesn't, but the Church board has the pin system that keeps your board on the line even when both clips come off.
