Western Basin Weather Links
I've had a few people ask me where I gather my weather information before each trip. And like most Captains, I draw from several sources. NOAA unfortunately seems to miss the mark too often on the wave forecast, but if you factor in iWinds forecast, you can draw a good conclusion on what the lake is going to do.
I've coupled my favorite sources into one web page, so I can see it all quickly without flipping through 4 or 5 different apps on my phone. Here's the link:

If you like it, bookmark it on your phones, use it all you want....
If you guys know of any more, I'm always open to suggestions!

There are a lot of websites with weather info, from national forecasts like weather dot com to backyard weather stations on weather underground dot com. You can find links to a lot of them here - http://www.ilakeerie.com/lake_erie_links.asp - and the site will be updating and adding more this spring. But for current conditions nothing beats a well located webcam. Many Lake Erie locals like the iwindsurf site.

Thanks for the information Capt. Eric,
I trailer my boats about 100 miles to hit the lake. Sometimes twice a week. I have been using Buoyweather ( http://www.buoyweather.com/forecast/...94883728027342)
This for quite a few years. What I like about this site is you can use it to get a 2 day free wind and wave report. You just pick your location on the map and it gives you the data, Wind direction through out the two day span, speed, wave heights and time between on an hourly prediction. I have found it to be very accurate and have not been dissatisfied one single time. I use it in conjunction with other weather reports to keep track of storms, etc.
