    How about a whitefish, cisco or maybe even a mooneye. Will try to get a pic up of those in the AM. Golden shiners get pretty good size also for a minnow species, but they are darker in color.

    Here is some info on the 3 fish! It is from the Mn DNR but those same fish are native to lake Erie but are scarce. This site also has the better pictures. Search Google for more info if needed.

    It may have been a whitefish. Look a whole lot like that.
