That's pretty good MPG, Jim. I only get about 1.5MPG with my boat.
Just messin' I know what you meant to say.
I hear Cat-Dog a lot in reports but never have I caught anything but a sheepshead. It's something to do with that pretty blue boat that they just jump right in no matter what bait is out there.Rookie Perch fisher, veteran Perch eater.

CatDog and Sir Walleye were good spoons for us last summer. Haven't tried them yet this year only fished for 3 days so far. Looks like a beautiful weekend ahead, I think I am going to double my days on the water. Will be pullin spoons on big boards. Headin up tomorrow. , to fish Fri. Sat. & Sun. Probably going to fish the cans from B toward Niagra we marked tons of fish there 2 weeks ago but it was all mud. If I get into them will post some info. Any hot spots close to Wild Wings we have a place at Green Cove. Hey Black Pearl I'm a fellow UPSER too out of New Stanton, Pa.

What's working
"0" dipseys, metal green, blue and purple, with and without black O rings back 54 feet at 1.8-2.0 mph. Scorpion Stinger spoons: Jeager Bomb, Flo Nascar and CatDog. Why 54 feet? Avon Lake Hi School Class of '54. In deeper water I'll drop back to 62 feet.(OSU '62) I'll see you all on the lake tomorrow somewhere between 1/2 mile SE of Ballast Is and NW of West Reef

fwiw I've been hauling them in on ? (don't know the exact naming) but a no.6 colorado stamped gold blade, orange fingers with a chartreuse outline on the top with a purple side wedge, similar to the purple greasy chicken with variations to. 1.5 mph bottom bouncing in 25ft , they are impaling them.
purple chrome beads/and orange with char gammy hooks.
I'm thinking these fish are readying themselves for the June bug onslaught hatch.......Last edited by limitlypps; 05-30-2014 at 04:09 AM.
