Wind forecast through Friday is shifting around. Southeast to southwest to west to southeast to east to northeast back to southeast and then southwest. Ice flows will probably move around a lot and if the predicted easterly direction Wednesday through Friday afternoon holds up a lot of the central and eastern basin ice will probably move west and into the Western Basin. At this point the weekend looks hazardous. We'll have to wait until Thursday and an updated forecast to see. Good news is the warmer temps, wind/wave action, and rain will probably reduce the ice a lot.
