Fished with perch pro and buddy John Hageman today north of West Sister. His expertise didn't rub off. Slow day, slow pick, looked like all the way around. Was a pack NE of West Sister, another N, and another NE. We headed NE. After finding some good marks, sat down and proceeded to pick at them. Ended up keeping only about 24 fish for 2 guys for about 5 hours . Plenty of throw backs.

Normally with those low numbers I would have been moving all over. But... watched a lot of boats around us doing less than we did. Watched boats move from our pack out to the other one, and then other boats from that one move into ours. All the radio traffic was moaning and groaning how slow it was, including several head boats we listened to. So we sat tight. Seems like it was just one of those days and we made the right decision. At cleaners most folks we talked to had less than half a limit.

Algae was heavy and mid day surface pea green!
