Lowrance help
I'm having a problem with the depth finder on my elite 7 hdi if you go faster than 21 mph it won't tell you a depth and twenty minutes or so after you sit down to start fishing the depth will go from 28 ft of water ( using today as an example) down to 0- 2 ft I don't get it because if you turn the unit off and back on it will read the depth it was before it messed up than twenty minutes or so later it goes haywire again any help will be appreciated thanks

I had similar issue. Mine did this but just sporadically. Not ever 20 minutes. I used a brush on a pole and cleaned off the transducer. It hasn't done it since. Do you dock or launch ? May try that.

All you need is a micro SD card
click on software updates at the bottom right of this page and there is the file you need and instructions it takes less than 5 minutes to download it and install it on your unit.

Yes you can tell the difference. That's the only way I know to update your operating software on it. I ck every month or so to see if there are any new updates. Like I said it painless takes less than 5 minutes to do it. You download the update file on the sd card put in your unit and power it on and it reboots itself.
Just be sure to look what version your running, maybe yours was updated already mine wasn't and I bought it 4 months agoLast edited by Firetiger; 08-11-2013 at 09:52 PM.

software update
I don't know how far you live from a Bass Pro,but if you take the unit in they will update it for free while you shop [just the head,no wires or transducer] even if you didn't buy it from them

Lowrance help
I purchased mine around the same time I will have to get that done and in two weeks when I'm up,at the lake I can run it over to bass pro hopefully that helps because its just frustrating when you pay that much for something and it doesn't work right
