I got nervous when I saw that you use a 3 to 1 approach. I always thought it was 2 to 1, after checking the dive charts I see it's both depending on the depth, shallow is more 2 to 1 and deep is 3 to 1 or more. Now I'm off to find the app for my iPad!

Hopefully you have a dive curve/chart with less gaps in it than the one posted. The TT50 has a better chart. Not sure why the 40's don't.

Can you use this chart to calculate other speeds? As an example; Would a 75 foot lead produce a 15 foot depth at 1.0 MPH?

NO although speed does play a factor on the depth but not THAT big of a factor.

What I am saying is reducing speed from 2mph to 1mph does not cut the depth in half.
