That is a great time of year to fish, especially around the islands. You can expect good fishing for all of the big three: bass, perch, and walleye without any long runs from the islands. And if you are staying on an island, there is always a place to fish if the wind kicks up.

Thanks... Definitely looking forward to the trip...we will be staying on middle bass island... Went a few years ago and had a blast with the smallmouth... Also caught a few walleye on eriedescent and bare naked purple reef runners.. Would like to target the walleyes a little more this time... Any other reef runner colors I should try in that area?? Thanks again
