That is the distance from the lure to where you clip it on to the planner board or planner line.

Let me clarify if you are using a diving device than it would be from the diving device (jet, Dipsy, weight ect.)to the planner board or planner line. If you guys have questions call me... Don't waist fme on the water not catching. 614.327.7144. Thks Jim

I plan to do a walk-on with you as soon as our schedules match. Keep posting any walk-ons you have brother.
One phone call to you and I learned 10 times over what I knew before.

Yep, no stupid questions. But this does bring up a very good point. If you go out on your own trying to put everything together. It could take you years to learn and put to use alot of the info posted ( been there done that). Some think it is too expensive to take a learning charter. But in the long run, you'll take years off your learning curve and catch that many more fish and the $$$ you spend to learn on your own would cost you alot more. You don't have to deal with boat control ( that's a whole other learning curve) and can consentrate on learning setting boards, lines etc etc . How , why etc etc.
I can only hope I have earned the freedom that has been given me.

Not a stupid question to me. I was wondering myself.
