4 man limit of walleye in 1 hour 45 min then fun fished for about an hour today. All purple 3/4 oz jigs, some with minnows, but most fish caught without minnows. Everybody went way out of sorts. We stayed in close to stay away from some boat traffic. Lots of boats all over the 15 ft and deeper areas off Wild Wings and Besse Cooling tower. Turtle Creek and Fenwick ramps were packed all day. Males are spewing milk and water temp was 46 this morning. Water was fairly clear for the wind we had on Sat. Heard the water was dirty out on the main reefs so that was easy to decide that the shallow water should be holding fish. Saturdays wind may have pushed some of the fish inside, but thats where we found them anyway. Different methods we tried all produced fish. As long as the weather holds, the fishing should stay this good for jigging till the water temps go up to mid 50's or so. Looking like an excellent spawn !
The next open date for a charter is Sunday April 15th for up to 6 ppl. All gear provided. Early morning is the fast bite time.
