    Default Saturday May 2nd 2020

only 2 walleye today, and one was a keeper the other has to grow up
fishing NW of Lakefront, 17-18 fow, many boats in the area , did see some nets in the water and 6 head boats in the area
using the bright green jig tipped with a night crawler, I had one hit and that was all, spreader got one hit and no takers.
moved in closer 14-15 fow , and tried the erie dearie gold with a night crawler and got the two walleye in two casts.
nothing after that, the wind was moving me .8 to 1.2 mph
    very windy today
    back soon.

    Default June 5th-6th 2020 "D" can walleye

Many boats south of "D" can yesterday and today.
Caught 2 keepers on June 5th and 3 shorts went back to grow some more.
Caught 6 keepers on June 6th, and 8 throw backs (shorts), one yellow perch, 6 sheep head, 1 catfish and 6 white perch.
Bring plenty of night crawlers, 4 dozen per person.
I was using a gold mayfly rig with a night crawler.
I drag a spreader tipped with a night crawler to see if any yellow perch are in the area.

Very nice day on the lake, come get yours ~!
    Be Safe,
    Water Dog

I don't have a pic but I have a Hummingbird helix 5 and what I see is just small black lines against a green, yellow, orange bottom. Another tip. Leave the motor running for 10 minutes after you anchor.

Thanks for clarifying that the head boats only had captain and small crew.I would consider that safer than letting general public join you.Hey island troller, saw ur post on OGF about that huge muskie you caught today, that trashed your net and got away.Wow,that must have been exciting.Have heard of guys landing 30" muskie but you said yours was about 50".To bad you didn't land it and get picture.

Default One more sheep head~! Wednesday May 13th 2020

H can area again, one sheep head using a gold erie deerie with night crawler.
Spreader tipped with golden shiners did not produce.
G can area, dropped the anchor to see if I could catch any perch, no bites.
Not as windy in the am today, I think we need some warm weather to get the bite going again.
