Hey everyone. This is for skipper9 and everyone else that wants people to post. I am kinda a newbie, I have a 25 sea ray, mostly go to lake michigan for salmon but would like to try erie walleye. I have a freind that goes couple times a week or more in huron, thumb bay in michigan for walleye. He has not been out yet because of reports of floating trees. We have a plan of going next weekend. Reports he has is the bite is slow. I will let you all know how it goes. I would like to spend half my fishing time on erie, if I can get a few in the boat.

Skipper9 - I've been off the screen for a few days. Are you asking about the people at the south end of the small boat harbor? I think they are fishing for Calico Bass and Sun fish & maybe smallmouths. My boat wasn't ready for the weekend but I had alot going on this weekend - softtball games, conformations and WORK. I took a ride by the waterfront Sat. morning. There must have been 60 trucks/trailers at the Small Boat Harbor. And it wasn't opened yet. Everyone has the jitters. I believe that a special Bass season opened Sat. I went to Wanaka and there must have been 40 boats anchored. Don't know if they were after Perch or jigging for WALLEYE? I haven't received any reports yet. As for as everyone else -Remember just being out there is an experience -the smells, the atmosphere, the views, and being out there with people that look forward to the same interests is what it is all about.
