I don't know exactly how deep they run but when I start out I use 2 oz. inlines and I run them on boards with harnesses at 1-1.5 mph. I usually start my outside boards 70ft back, my middle boards 50 ft back and my inside boards 20 ft back and a bottom bouncer next to the boat, this way you can cover a large portion of the water column and hopefully find them quickly and switch when you start catching them, it has always worked for me. Good Luck!!!!!
