The weather looks great for making ice. NW 15-25 is a little strong but with highs only in the Mid 20's all week followed with single digits every night we'll be making ice fast. The weekend forecast is single digits day and night sat & sun.. Looks like the standard start off Cawtaba S.P. & Camp Perry will be the first runs but it's hard not to go to my spot off Crane Creek/ Magee marsh. The only problem with Crane creek will be the current and whether it freezes the current closed with safe ice?

Is there ice out there yet? I know one thing i wont be the first guy out i usally wait untile theres lots of people out there just to be on the safe side.

9" out in front of Toledo Beach Marina. access via Luna Pier 1 mile run to 12 fow. 1 eye caught at dusk. 2 buddies going tomorrow first light. I lost my power steering pump on truck. out till mid week.

Brest Bay= Unsafe Ice. Brest Bay Marina access closed. Gates locked till safe

Catawaba, Camp Perry, Magee Marsh, Metzgers marsh. Looking for a report, but if the west end isn't sealed up I don't see the east locking up. traditionally west end freezes up first and 2 weeks later the east is locked up. 2 degrees outside now.

Pray for no Noreasters.
