September 2009 Western Lake Erie Fishing Reports

Western Lake Erie Fishing REPORTS Post WESTERN LAKE ERIE (Far Western Lake Erie, Reefs, Bass Islands, Sandusky Bay etc.) fishing reports here. Be sure to include fishing location, time of day , lake conditions, Depth, depth that fish were caught and of course what you caught. GOOD Fishing to all in 2009!!

[Part Time Percher]

Went out to F-Can with son-in-law and his father 8:30-12:00 noon on Monday. 53 keepers 7"-12" range, (4 -12"). Using spreaders with small shiner's from Brand's in PC. Nice perch chop. Had to be on your toes, light bite. Overcast day most of the time. Nice day to be out.

After putting a new battery in the boat, son-in-law and I got to G-Can around 9:15 this morning. Had our limit of perch in 2 hours. Spreaders and small minnows from Drawbridge Marina. As soon as it hit the bottom they were hitting. Lot of 7" to 8" perch. Had a few 9" to 11". Lot's of double's. Waves were two foot most of the time. Another nice day on the lake!

fished 2 miles N. of Intake in 22 fow. Limited in 3 hours. 50 fish 10 lbs. Had a couple over 11 inches.

Fished yesterday 9/19 from 12:30 to 3 pm west of rattle snake in 31 fow. 3 man limit of perch with a dozen throw backs and 1/2 dozen jumbos. NO sheephead and 6 white perch. Tried first west of Green with 6 white perch no yellow's and pulled anchor and headed up to the rattle snake pack.

9/20 - Fished 5 hours - total of 60 perch with 3 guys. Water was rough. Threw back about 50 under 7 inches. Several sheephead and white perch. 22 feet of water north of Crane Creek

Fished from 7:30 am to 12 northwest of Kellys Island in 40 ft. depth Nice size perch (86) 10-12 inch After 12 until 3 moved to reef southwest of Gull Island and caught 13 walleye by drifting over reef and worm harnesses off bottom
