Public launch ramp summary- Huron and east.
JohnN & I went on a tour this morning to see if we can launch at any ramps, yet. No docks have been put in, and we started at Huron, and it's open, but could be ice out on the lake?
Cranberry is open but very shallow, and we noticed an excavator out by the mouth/lake.
Vermilion is open, but not sure if any ice out by the lake, no docks, 1 truck and boat trailer there, from Holmes County.
Lorain is open, could not see any ice out by the lighthouse. No indication of current construction activity, but both ramps are all cleaned up, no trash/tree trunks.
Sheffield Lake is open, but might be a little shallow there?
We checked out all the boats at Erie Marine's open house, then drove down to Fin-Feather-Fur Ashland for Ross Robertson a.k.a. Bigwater Fishing seminar. Very good presentation primarily about setting up and reading Humminbird 2D sonar.

Great report thank you. Looking forward to learning when the docks go in and when they open the cleaning station at Huron. I see fishing boats there today on the live cam. I'm planning to go out the last weekend of this month.
