We did the exact same thing the exact same day and had similar results. We hit the bottom bouncers more west than north of West Sister. Out there at 7:00 done at 11:00, 10 eyes in the box, 9 came on silver worm harnesses. All fish were 17" to 19".

    Default Thursday aftennoon/night

Met up with Spoontang around 1:00 at the marina. Started fishing north of North Bass island, west bound and circling back south between Rattlesnake and Niagra. We pulled spoons off down riggers and long lined crank baits. Fishing was slooooow. We caught three by around 7:00pm. I wanted to stick with the program as I wanted to see how to do this type of fishing. My wife finally convinced us to put out a worm harness off a board and shortly thereafter we caught a walleye; then another and another... Lake was choppy at first but by sunset had settled down and we had a nice run back to the dock. We only ended up with 11 in the boat one off at the back of the boat, one throw back, a couple sheep head and a few white bass. I believe the final count for walleye was spoons - 2, cranks - 3, and harness 6. We stuck with it and although we didn't limit we had a great time; as they say a bad day fishing is better than being at work! Thanks Spoontang!

7am , We were out by Niagara reef in 29 fow, caught one eye right away, alot of sheephead, alot of white perch and some yellow perch. We moved to b-can and caught some more sheephead, but no eye's. We moved back to Niagara and anchored and caught about 25 Jumbo yellow perch. We caught the perch on a spreader with minows, they like the minows better than the night crawlers. The bigest was 13 inches! Anyway we caught the walleye on a red erie deerie with a night crawler. I heard on the cb channel some guys were doing good over by North Bass Island.
Anyway, it was a great day to be on the lake!

Perch fishing at Niagara was great again. Took the wife and daughter and only fished for about 2 hours in 29 fow using spreader, minows and perch hooks and no bling. We caught 33 jumbo perch, the bigest was 12"er.
I just got tired of trying to find those eyes!

I'm new to the sight but I just retired and am planning to purchase a boat. Having said that I have fished the wester basin for 35 years. 3 years ago I took by Bayliner 2655 and docked with the charters at east harder. My best fishing skill was for smallies and jiggs. This was the first year I had a boat big enough to take the waves prior to that I Stripper fished in Norris Tn. Anyway after 2nd to 3rd week of june the walleye seened to disappear. I would ask the captains where I was dacked and they said 4-5 ft of water on top of reefs. Yeah right. Late July I decided to give this a try. We trolled kelley sholes with yellow birdss and bill Normaon balso shallow runners. Metallic blue and white seeened to be the best. Once I locked in the chordinates we limmitted with Eyes and smalleys ever day. I'm moving from tennesseee bach to Ohio and wil put a boat back aon erie. If you haven't tried the Norman balsas try then ther hat here in tn. Side planners outdo 2-1 over off the back.

Fished east side of Kelleys 530 to 1230. 2 man limit 35 fow. Throwing weapons. We must have been doing something different then everyone else cause only seen the others nets fly once in a great while. Nice fish too 3 to 7 lbs. The inside cut on the east side.I will say when we marked fish we were catching sheephead and white bass. We were better off not marking fish. Cause if you got a hit it was the dead weight walleye bite.Jim
