I fish with two lines and I like to try different setups to see what is working. Yesterday, I used a crappie rig on one line and a perch fly rig on the other. Both rigs had two hooks so I used half a minnow on one hook and a full minnow on the other. The type of rig didn’t seem to matter but they were taking the half minnows more often than the full. After about an hour I switched to using only half minnows. I think it just depends on the day and the size of minnows you’re using.
