Anyone started catching Perch yet ? My family prefers eating the Erie gold over the wallies so waiting for them to start biting.

Well this dog has been trying to get the freezer stocked with walleye , not so good so far, mostly shorts and the early season, Jig fishing , was a no go due to the weather. Went today and had 4 walleye, but only one was a keeper. As far as the Yellow Gold, I agree I like them, but my lucky charm likes walleye a little better. (lucky charm = Wife) My first stop will be SE of G can in 22 FOW. I have not hooked up with the Yellow Gold walleye fishing, so they may not be moving in yet. The may flies are really abundant now and the sheep head and catfish are on fire! Fun to catch but they eat up the night crawlers big time. I will post as soon as I get on line with the YELLOW GOLD!
