6/7 Report
We started north of KI Shoal since that's where I marked so many fish on Monday - but not much there today. So we spent the morning east and south of KI Shoal. The marks were far and few between, and the bite was slow for us. The bugs were not unbearable but getting a bit annoying. I did mark a couple different clouds which may have been bugs hatching. I saw one mayfly.
Spent the afternoon at Cedar Point dump. The marks there were much more plentiful and we caught there much more frequently.
After a long day we ended up with all 18 walleye (biggest being 22", threw back 4 shorts) and 4 tasty drum.
A cool thing was that we caught a young muskie (20-some inches). Beautiful fish.
Despite trying various speeds, depths and colors, none of our cranks caught a single fish all day long. Half were caught on spoons and half on crawler harnesses. The hot spoons were bright orange, multi-colored florescent splotches, and a dark green and tan one with black spots.
