Walleye success
Went out yesterday morning with a buddy. We fished the west side of toussaint reef just off the shallowest part. We were in 15 feet of water. Fished about 4 1/2 hours and got 8 keepers and lost another. Threw 5 or 6 back short. Several sheephead and catfish. Keepers were mostly 16 inches with one at 18 inches. Used harnesses and 1/2 ounce weights. No particular color preference

Re: Walleye success
Thanks for the report. Water cooling down I'm ready to get my lines wet. Not sure where I want to go. Wasn't thinking the reefs might have to give that a try.

Re: Walleye success
Thank you for the Walleye report. It has been some time since we have been over that way. Hopefully the big girls will be back soon.
We are still fishing out East and deep. I can't wait to get back closer to home.Mike

Re: Walleye success
I heard the vermilion bite was back on. Wanted to try Kelly's shoal or Lucy's point maybe in a week or two.
