Yes, It will do well. If you get into a situation just get behind a heavier vessel (within 50 yards) and let them break the waves. It is common to do and everyone knows why you are doing it. I personally have escorted many bass boats back to port. Not everyone is committed 100% to the great lakes fishing & to those of us that are--- we pay the price when trailering to Lake Ontario or Lake Michigan on our salmon trips at the gas pump.
