Near shore fishing
For us with smaller boats that can't make the run to the Island areas....is anyone catching anything near the intake- lighthouse area or within 5 miles off shore ?? Thanks in advance for any help you can give !!

Re: Near shore fishing
Hi airshot- it might help if you had where you're coming from on your profile... but if you can trailer your boat to Huron, you might try the state boat access there, or look at the fishing reports on Cranberry Creek Marina. A few of my friends have been successful in that area, recently in 20' - 30' depth.

Re: Near shore fishing
Thought my location was in the profile....ok...I usually launch out of Cullen Park all the way to Metzger marsh area. Have a nice 16 ft boat but the NE winds have made things rough for us closer in fishermen. In past years have had good early sucess within 5 miles out, but slim pickins this season !!
