Last count was Sunday was about 50 boats, mostly Ohio ones....last year I was noticing 50%+ of the early season trailers were from from Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minn, Wisc.....they will be here soon! Talking to these guys, they are jealous of our fishery.

Being a cheese head, I can say that when it comes to Walleye, nothing (not even Green Bay) can compare to Lake Erie. I do love it but..... The 45 minute fight of a 20+ pound King Salmon or a 20 minute limit of 8+ pound Coho blows the quick walleye limits out of the water (pun intended). Walleye does make good dinners but my personal preference would be salmon in that category as well. I know that I'm probably not making friends on Walley.com by saying this but it is true in my opinion. That said, I cannot wait until 4/3 to wet my lines on beautiful Lake Erie. Please continue to to drive me absolutely crazy with these reports. We do love them.
