    Default July 4th Weekend Recommendations

I was planning on going out this Sunday but I’m not sure whether we should go for walleye or perch or both. We are docked on the NW side of Catawba. We don’t have a preference, we just want to catch fish. Any recommendations on where and what to try for would be appreciated!

I will be getting out also from West side of Catawba. Not many perch reports around.
Hoping mayflies are few so the walleye start to hunt again.

Usually this time of year West of Rattlesnake to the line should have some walleye. If you want to travel further also reports from West Sister up to line, and Kellies Is shoal up to line and west along the line up to NOrth bass.

Perch nets are all along the East side of Kellies to the line I'm told.

Watch out for the holiday boat traffic. IMHO this weekend brings out the dumbest boaters of all year.

Thanks for the information. I heard a couple okay reports of perch around Mouse Island. I talked to the bait shops and they said Cedar Point, East of Middle Bass or East of Kelley’s for walleye.
