I started working east from the stone dock to the lighthouse in 35 foot of water. There were allot of fish there but mainly small fish and trash. Most came on gold spinners and green and orange, I use double willow leaf and was pulling them 2.0. Nothing on the bandits. I did not count them as most were small but there were eaters there (15 to 16 inchers) mixed in.

Moved out to the north west corner of the dumping grounds and fish quality picked up but the bite was spotty and slow. What fish we caught were on bandits 60 to 80 back.

Moved out to 44 foot of water and found a nice long line of eyes running east to west. We set up and worked down that line from east to west. It started slow until we started doing S curves and that was what they wanted. 2.0 mph. Bandits 30 to 60 back produced the best. The colors that caught multiple fish were Carrot Top, Copper Perch, Green Perch, Pink Vampire, Bad Barbie (custom bold fruit dot) and 4 on a gold red head rogue.

We had a fiver, my first I think. 6 boards were out and 5 took fish at the same time, or at least before we could clear the others. I kept saying one at a time, stay calm, while my heart was racing. Luckily no tangles or hooks in the net etc. and we methodically brought them all in, with no losses. We quit on that flurry and ended on a positive high.

I'll be watching the winds hoping to get another trip or two in before I have two be off the water for a couple weeks.
