Fishing with Chris Utter and Jim Stedke 3/10/2022
Short report...forgot to post it yesterday....
Fun morning, fishing with Chris Utter and with Jim Stedke.
We managed to go 13 for 15 in our short time out. Chris had to get back to Wisconsin, so we were only fishing for about 4 1/2 hours. We had launched out of Catawba and didn't have to go very far.
Bandits 60-80 back were best, but Jim caught a big 11.3 pounder on the Reef Runner Skinny Stick (seen in the fishes mouth that he's holding). I think he had that one running 70 back behind the Off Shore board.
Speed was 1.2-1.4mph.
We did about an even count going with and against the current, too.
The bite was better early this morning, and started to wane around 11am for us. We were the second boat in the area we fished, but then by the time we left, there were close to 20 boats in the area.
The water temp today was 36.2 degrees.
My next trip out is next Wednesday....
Stay tuned....
