Perch East of the intake
Wasnt sure about the weather (we are new to the lake) so we got out to the intake about 10am. At 2pm, we were at 29 med/large perch and out of bait....
Hoping to go out again tomorrow (wed) Thoughts??
Question: Those with live wells, are you using them, or just tossing the perch in an iced cooler?
Glad to be on the forum!

The water temperature is a little to warm this time of year if your gonna be out for awhile. Cooler with ice will keep them fresh till you get them cleaned.

Re: Perch East of the intake
Icing perch will also keep the red worms from burrowing out of the abdomen into the fillets as the fish dies.

Re: Perch East of the intake
I have used it in the spring when the water temperature is in the 50 degree range. Walleye will stay alive if you aerate the live well when the water is cool. But I use the cooler year around anymore for a seat in the back of my boat.
