GREAT ! I looked at the lake erie web cam for Huron and it was open water also it won't be long now maybe a couple of weeks . I also ordered some bandits from a local bait shop and a couple more Daiwa wilderness trolling rods they also had the Daiwa trolling reels so that should get us going set and up with 4 rigs and a good selection of crank baits .

We use cross lock snaps with cranks but use swivels on spoons and harnesses.

IMHO swivels interfere with the action of crank baits but swivels help prevent line twist if spoons or harnesses role. Also we find a higher hook up ratio on spoons when they are on swivels.

I had 73 yesterday south of Columbus when I left for the lake. It was 35 when I got to Marblehead.
