We launched from Mazurik at 1 pm on Friday and headed east to try for some Walleye for Judy. She has always wanted to fish for walleye on Lake Erie but has never had the chance until today. She picked a great afternoon as the lake was fairly calm with a light breeze and sunshine. We trolled 6 bandits at 2.5 mph with 50' leads and 2 oz weights back 160 to 140 total line out to start and as the sun started to go down some we raised them up to 95 to 130 total line out as the fish moved up in the column. We boated both our limits of very nice size fish in a 4 hour trip and had a great time. She wants to come back for a casting trip in the spring/early summer as she likes the rod in hand style of fishing. Great afternoon on the lake.
