I would fish east of the islands , Huron to avon point in 40 + plus deep water lot less pleasure boat traffic that way easy in and out boat ramps

You can still find fish around Kellys that time of year. But Joedog is right about Huron. Nice ramps, relatively close to the lake, etc. I don't think you would need to go all the way out to the sand bar to catch fish. Depending on weather you can launch from Mazuriks and be a lot closer to Kellys.
