Walleye fishing was fun and easy Monday morning. Bright sunshine, cool air, a little walleye chop and water temp 58.5 degrees. Left the marina at 7:15 am. I only got halfway out from the marina headed towards the west side of Kelleys Island when I started marking bait-fish and walleye mixed at about 12-15 feet down.

I put out chrome finish bandits set to run at about 12-13 feet deep. For me that was 100-115 feet back on horizontal rod holders. I skipped the trolling bags and was able to troll at 2.5 to 3.0 mph. 90 minutes later I had six walleye in the box and was putting away gear for the cruise back to my dock. 17-20 inch fish Monday. Not as big as the 18-22inch mix I have been catching but still tasty and fun.

Tight Lines Everyone!
