Garmin Livescope on Erie
Has anyone used the Garmin Livescope on erie to find pods of fish either trolling or jigging I think this technology will be unreel jigging reefs or even trolling would be cool to see just seeing if anyone has done it yet with results of how it worked!
Thanks in advance

I will have live scope on my boat when I make my trip out there in May. I used it for the first time this year during our short ice season. It is amazing on the ice. I am interested to see how it works on a moving boat. I hope to be able to see dipsy divers and the spoon behind them. I wonder how the waves will effect this type of sonar. If I get a chance to to use it before my May trip I will report back.

I have not been to Erie yet but have used my livescope a couple times. I have not found it very useful in a trolling situation yet. It is very helpful in a vertical jigging. You can see fish shy away from different presentations. It is so detailed and looks at a fairly narrow window that when you are moving the information goes past so fast. I will try and learn more as time goes on.

OK for jig fishing, useless for trolling. IMO. Not worth a 1,000.00 transducer.
